I’m Cindy. My favorite day of every week is Friday. Why? You may think it’s because the next day is Saturday. No, it’s because on Friday I can buy food from the school store.

The store is open from Wednesday to Friday, but my mom doesn’t let me buy food there on Wednesday or Thursday. That’s too much money. I can get $5 from mom to buy the food from the store only on Friday.

You may want to know what I buy from the store. I always buy the same thing. It’s not very exciting. It’s hot (热的) lasagna (意大利千层面). From Monday to Thursday, I can only have cold (冷的) food from my lunchbox. On Friday, I want to have some hot things. Do you like food from the school store or your mom’s lunchbox?

Although food safety systems usually work, there can be problems. Sometimes mistakes are made. For example, a truck might carry eggs and then ice cream. The ice cream could make people sick when the truck isn’t cleaned after carrying eggs. Other problems are not mistakes. Sometimes companies break rules to make more money. When this happens,people don’t know if their food is safe.
