One day a big hen (母鸡) is playing with her chickens (小鸡) in the garden. After some time, she wants to eat something, so she takes her chickens out to look for food.

When they are eating, she finds a grain (粒) of wheat (小麦). So she asks her chickens to plant (种植) it in the back garden. But no one wants to do it. The big hen has to do it herself (独自).

After a few months, they get a lot of wheat. The hen says to her chickens, “Who will take the wheat to the store and get some flour?” But they don’t want to do it, so she takes the wheat to the store and brings the flour home.

After she gets home, she says, “Who will make some bread with the flour?” They all say they are too busy(忙的) and don’t want to do it.

After she makes the bread, she says to her chickens, “Who wants to eat the bread?”

“Me,” they say.

“No, you can’t. You don’t want to do anything before I make the bread. You must know ‘No pain, no gain’.” She doesn’t give any bread to her chickens and eats the bread herself.

Mary and Peter were having a picnic with some friends near a river. Suddenly, Mary shouted.

Frightened by the strange spaceship, all the young people got into their cars and drove away as quickly as possible except Peter and Mary. 【小题2】 They watched the spaceship land and saw a door open, but nobody came out. They went to look into it. In the centre of the floor, there was a lot of food. 【小题3】 They did not hear the door close behind. The temperature fell in no time and very soon the two people didn't know anything.

【小题4】The spaceship had gone. Their car was nearby.

“What happened?”asked Mary.

Peter scratched(挠) his head, saying slowly, “Don't ask me. Perhaps we had a problem. Come on. It's time to go home.”

Then they got into the car and drove home. 【小题5】On the other side of the wall, a few aliens were looking at them and reading a notice, "New comers at the zoo-a. pair of Earth villagers in their field with their house on wheels."
