I am Xiaoming. Yesterday was Chinese New Year’s Eve. My family usually has New Year’s Eve dinner at home, but this year we went to the Sunflower Restaurant for this special dinner. Both my grandparents came from the countryside to join us.

We sat in a room big enough for one table. We ordered some cold dishes first, and then our main dishes, desserts and drinks. For cold dishes, we ordered peanuts, smoked fish, cucumber, chicken and salad. Our main dishes are steak, pork chops, shrimp, roast duck, spinach, and mushroom soup. For dessert, we ordered rice pudding and dumplings. For drink, we ordered wine, juice and yogurt. My grandparents preferred tea to any other drink.

We enjoyed our dinner very much. The fish was fresh, the soup delicious, the chicken wonderful, and the shrimp tasty. We all had a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner. After the dinner, we went home to watch the Spring Festival Gala on CCTV.

Tony loves his grandma. She often tells him stories (故事) about Santa Claus (圣诞老人).

Today is December (十二月) 24th. Tony’s grandma takes him to Kerby’s Store to shop. She gives Tony one hundred dollars and says, “Take the money and buy something for someone who needs it. I’ll wait (等待) for you in the car.”

Tony thinks of everyone he knows: his family, friends and classmates. Then he thinks of Bobbie. They are in the same class. He doesn’t have a warm (暖和的) coat. Tony finds that Bobbie doesn’t go out to play in winter (冬天). So Tony buys a blue coat for him. It looks really cool.

In the evening, his grandma helps Tony put the coat in a box and writes, “To Bobbie, From Santa Claus” on it. “Santa helps people but don’t let them know,” Tony’s grandma says. They put the box in front of (在……前面) Bobbie’s house (房子) and then go back home.

That night Tony knows Santa Claus is real (真实的), and they live together.

This is Kitty’s family photo. Kitty is a 3-year-old lovely cat. She is white. She likes going to school with her best friend Coco, a little dog. They are good students at school. Tim is Kitty’s brother. He is brown and white. He is two years older than（比）Kitty. He likes to play basketball with his friends Peppa pig and Guppi sheep. The orange toy car is his best love. Their mother Mia is friendly and a little fat. She is a teacher. She cooks good food. She is black, but she likes red best. She often wears a red scarf（围巾）with flowers. Tommy is their father. He is tall. He’s a good teacher, too. He can’t cook, but he is good at fishing. He always goes fishing on weekends.
