Last summer, I began the biggest adventure（冒险）of my life. I moved from a tiny city in England to one of the largest cities in the world.

As the plane landed in Beijing, I 【小题1】 (feel) excited—I finally arrived after months of planning! One of the first things I did was to visit one of the city`s hutongs. Strolling（闲逛）around the hutongs, the warm air was filled with the smell of delicious food. I was amazed to see that many people 【小题2】 (ride) their old-fashioned tricycles（老式三轮脚踏车）. Just at this time, I thought, “Wow, I’m in China.”

Beijing is very different from my home city, Preston. Preston has only one shopping street and on Sunday, all the shops close at 4:00 pm. There 【小题3】 (not be) much choice when eating out, either. As a fan of food, I couldn`t wait 【小题4】 (see) what Beijing can offer. But after I have tasted so many kinds food here, I still don’t have a favorite dish yet. I _________ still happily【小题5】 (look) for my favorite through the city`s restaurants.

I am slowly getting used to the different way of life, but I still find some habits here quite strange and humorous.

British people【小题6】 (tell) not to make any kind of bodily noise at the dinner table when they are still children, so it is a funny culture shock（冲击）to hear the loud noise of Chinese diners.

Since I came here, I 【小题7】 (discover) something else interesting. As a foreigner, I always draw people’s attention. On the subway or in streets and restaurants, I always find some people staring（盯着看）at me and 【小题8】 (try) to take secret photos of me. It seems that I am a famous person or a popular star.

In the future, I 【小题9】 (go) to many other parts of China. I hope I 【小题10】 (travel) from one end to the other of this beautiful country, taking photos and meeting new people along the way.

My adventure in China is only just beginning, and I wonder how it will be.

I have lived in this beach city for more than sixteen years. Over the past sixteen years, great 【小题1】 have taken place.

First of all, the city has become much 【小题2】 than before. There used to be rubbish nearly everywhere in the city. The rivers that run through the city used to be dirty and smelly. There was 【小题3】 but rubbish in the black water. Thanks to the “civilized city” campaign (运动), the quality of the residents (居民) has 【小题4】, so has the sense of protecting the environment. Now, you can 【小题5】 see people litter about. From morning till night, you can see cleaners are busy working to keep the city clean.

Secondly, the whole city has taken on a new look. The city government set up the Shell Theater in the year of 2016 and now it has become a symbol of this city. Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was open to traffic on Oct. 25th of 2018 and it 【小题6】 with three cities. It is much more 【小题7】 for the local residents and tourists to travel by land instead of by sea. All the roads in this city have been rebuilt and widened. Besides, 【小题8】 old town has been repainted and decorated so that it doesn’t look shabby (破旧的) any more.

Last but not least, the economy of this city has increased excitingly. 【小题9】 the help of the high-speed trains, this beach city has greatly improved its ability to attract more investment (投资). Without doubt, the 【小题10】 of this city will be brighter.

The English cultural and tourism magazine “Jiangsu Glimpses” has published a new one. It recommends beautiful museums, d【小题1】 food, fun routes and spring folk customs in Jiangsu.

What winter takes from here, spring will give it b【小题2】. After a winter of resting, the flowers in Jiangsu are budding（含苞待放） and the ducks can also f【小题3】 the warmth of the spring river.

It has become a habit for Chinese t【小题4】to come to Jiangsu to see flowers in spring. The city flower of Nanjing, plum blossom, now is all around on the Meihua Mountain. “Fure Flower Sea” in Zhenjiang i【小题5】 many flower fields which are like a colorful blanket. Spring comes and shines on the branches of these flowers in the south of the Yangtze River.

Tea is another g【小题6】 that comes with the spring of Jiangnan. Many teas with poetic and beautiful n【小题7】 are all from Jiangsu, such as Suzhou’s Biluochun tea, Nanjing’s Yuhua tea and Zhenjiang’s Jinshancuiya tea. During this period, the tea field provides nice teas and p【小题8】 places for people to have fun. The tea has special taste b【小题9】 different tea trees are planted in different planting sites. Nowadays, people can look for tasty tea and enjoy the best s【小题10】 in Jiangsu, including transportation, accommodation（住宿）, sightseeing, and food. In addition to the tea fields, tourists can also walk into the tea houses and museums or picturesque villages around them.
