Thank you very much for your e-mails. I know a lot about China from your e-mails. I want to go to China, but my Chinese isn’t very good. Now I am learning (学习) it from my parents in America. They know many things about China. They want to be English teachers in a middle school in Chongqing next year (明年).

My parents says Chinese people like eating rice, meat and vegetables. Is it right? For me, I like bread and hamburgers. I like drinking (喝) milk and coffee. But many Chinese people like tea. How about you?

What sports do you do? Do you like playing ping-pong? I know many Chinese are good at playing it. In America, you can always see students play basketball and baseball. But I don’t play them. I think they are too difficult for me. After school, I like to go to the library. I really like books.

Today. I am here to tell you something about myself. My name is Mary. I’ m thirteen years old. I live in Shanghai. I’m studying at Hongxing Middle School. I’m interested in many things, such as singing English songs, playing Ping-Pong. I like playing Ping-Pong best. But I don’t join the school Ping-Pong club because I have no time. I have a big family-my grandparents, my parents, my sister and I. My father is a policeman. I am always proud of him. My mother teaches math in a high school. She is friendly to her students and they all like her very much. Both my sister and I are students. But we study in different schools.
