I'm writing to invite both of you to my 15th birthday party on Saturday, November 13th.We're having dinner at a restaurant and then having a party at my home.I would like both of you to come if you can.If you need a place to stay for the night, you can sleep on the floor in our sitting room,
But bring a sleeping bag please! Ha! Ha! It's only a joke. If you want to stay at my home for a night, please tell me.
The dinner is at Mama Mia, a good Italian restaurant. It starts at 7:30 p.m. You can take the train at 5:00 p.m. and arrive in my city at 6:45 p.m. Then go to the restaurant by taxi. After dinner, we have the birthday party at about 9:00 p.m. My mother makes a birthday cake and some snacks(小吃)for us. I'm sure they are very delicious. I know that you have some nice CDs. Could you please bring them to my party? Then we can enjoy some good music. I think we will have a good time.Hope you can come!

Andy was born in China 17 years ago. In 2007, she went to the USA with her family. As a high school student, she has found many differences between Chinese and Americans:
About money
Americans like to spend more than they have, so many of them are always in debt(欠债). But Chinese usually spend less than they have, so many of them always have money left in the bank.
The American kids themselves make their own money. Most Chinese kids always ask their parents for money.
About friends
Most American parents let their sons or daughters make friends by themselves. They never ask them about their friends while Chinese parents usuaolly enjoy knwing more about their children’s friends in many different ways, and usually stop them from staying out too late with friends.
About education
Many American students have less homework to do while many Chinese students have much.
Many American girls take part in sports, dancing and singing groups while many Chinese girls take part in study groups.
Many American parents think there is no need to send their children to an expensive school. It’s different in China. Many Chinese parents would do anything to send their children to expensive schools though their family isn’t rich enough.

Things Adults Should Learn from Kids
Children can teach adults a lot. In other words, there are many things adults can learn from children.
For example, kids tend to show love. Every action they do for parents, friends, pets, and people they like, is full of love. They don’t think twice before loving, and they just love. So adults can learn this: the best way to receive love is to first give it.
Kids never hide feelings. They cry when they hurt themselves, and express displeasure when things don’t go their way. However, we adults always try to hide our feelings, and never express ourselves sincerely. Crying or expressing oneself is what normal people do. Never hold back tears or happiness. If you want to cry, cry your eyes out. And if you are happy or pleased about something, don’t be afraid to show or share it.
Kids are curious little beings. They are thirsty for knowledge, and ask lots of questions every day. This curious nature guides their life, and often leads them to simple yet wonderful discoveries. Are adults as curious as kids? Well, most of us aren’t. Also, they don’t have the thirst for knowledge any more, and don’t even ask questions if they don’t understand something.
Kids live in the present, and give 100% to any task they are doing. They never worry about the future. Since they are so busy enjoying their present, life is great today. However, with a job, money, and relationships, it does get hard for an adult to enjoy life. The best thing to do here is to change oneself, and if that isn’t possible, we can live like a child. Just don’t be worried about the future, because it isn’t in your control.
