I’m deeply moved 【小题7】 her story. I’m going to start with small things around me. I 【小题8】 (plan) to give books and clothes to children in poor villages. A few years ago, a little boy, no more than eight years old, went to the store himself. While he 【小题1】 (go) back home, he found a dirty dog following him. The dog was weak because it had 【小题2】 sore leg.

After he found the dog was 【小题3】 (bad) hurt, he let it follow him home. The little boy’s mother 【小题4】 (teach) him to be kind in the past. However, when the little boy asked his mother if he could let the dog come into the house, she hesitated(犹豫). “We have no room for it,” she said. The poor dog seemed 【小题5】 (understand) what she had said. It looked so sad! The little boy almost cried when he saw the dog’s big eyes looking up at him 【小题6】 (sad).

His mother was actually kind, too. She did not drive the poor hungry dog away, but let it stay in the yard. The little boy gave the dog some food and water. They also made it clean.

After a few days, the dog was 【小题7】 (good) than before with the help of the boy and his mother. It began to show how happy and 【小题8】 (thank) it was. Because of their 【小题9】 (kind), the dog finally found a home. The little boy and his mother did 【小题10】 they could to help the poor dog.

Zhang Guimei is the head teacher of Huaping High School for Girls in Lijiang, Yunnan. 【小题1】 was given the honor of “Role Model of the Times” on Dec. 10th, 2020 because of her work on education. Her moving stories inspire (激励) thousands 【小题2】 people in China.

About 20 years ago, on the 【小题3】 to a student’s home, Zhang Guimei saw a girl sitting on the road. The 13-year-old girl told Zhang she couldn’t go to school anymore 【小题4】 she was about to marry, which surprised Zhang so much. Zhang went to 【小题5】 girl’s home and tried to ask her parents to let the girl return to school. She even promised to 【小题6】 the tuition fees (学费) for the girl, so they needn’t spend any money. 【小题7】, they still didn’t agree.

Zhang felt sorry because she wasn’t 【小题8】 to help, “We always say, each child should stand on the same starting line, but these 【小题9】 couldn’t get a chance to school. ”So Zhang built a free school only for girls. Over the years, Zhang has walked thousands of kilometers to visit students’ families in the mountains, asking the villagers to send the girls back to school. So far, 【小题10】 than 1800 girls have studied in college, and it is regarded as a miracle (奇迹) in China.
