Last Friday we had a football game against a team from a country school. They arrived at four o’clock in the afternoon. They were tall and looked very strong. They wore blue T-shirts and black pants. They looked like farm boys in dirty clothes. We thought they must never see a football before and we didn’t need any practice to play with such a team. It was very late, so they had little time to practice.

The game began, one of our boys got the ball and he tried to kick it to another one. But from out of nowhere (突然冒出来), a boy in a dirty T-shirt caught the ball. He was so fast and passed the ball to others. They surprised (使惊奇) us and they had another goal (进球) in ten minutes. Soon it was over. The country team won the game. Of course, we knew that there was still another team stronger than any good team. But from the game, we learned: we can’t judge a person by his clothes.
