Healthy eating is a high priority (优先) for a lot of people around the world. So it should be no surprise (A) _________the phrase "clean eating" has been added to the Collins Dictionary. But what exactly is clean eating?

"Clean eating" is the trend that became popular over the Internet, especially among health and fitness fans. It is a type of diet where people avoid processed (加工过的) foods, such as bacon and white sugar. Instead, people mostly eat fruits, vegetables and organic (有机的) foods. No chemicals are used while growing organic foods, so they are kept in their natural state and are considered "clean".

The trend became more popular when the World Health Organization released its report on processed meat in 2015. (B) The report says eating processed food can be really harmful to a person's health. It links processed meats such as ham, bacon and sausages to cancer. And now many people are feeling anxious.

Some people say clean eating helps them control their weight and stay energetic, (C) _______ not everyone thinks this diet is a great idea.

Dietitians (营养师) have noticed an increase in the number of women becoming weak and getting anemia (贫血). Some of these women are on a clean eating diet. They lack nutrients that come from some processed foods.

Experts suggest eating a balanced diet of more "clean food" but also taking in a small amount of processed food.

An old tiger lives in the forest. He does not want to look for food now. He often tells other animals to bring him food to eat. He sees a monkey and says, “I’m hungry (饿), Monkey. Go and bring me a fat pig.”

“Oh, Tiger,” says the monkey, “I can’t do that now. There is another tiger over there. He wants a fat pig, too. He doesn’t let me give you anything to eat. I am afraid (害怕) of him.”

“What?” says the tiger. “Where’s the tiger? I want to talk to him.”

“Come with me,” says the monkey.

The monkey and the tiger get to a bridge over the river. “Now look down into the water,” says the monkey. “Do you see the hand, the white teeth and the big eyes of a tiger?”

“Yes, I do,” says the old tiger. “I will eat him up!”

With these words, the tiger jumps into the river.

One day, I was having lunch in the park with my grandparents, my sister and her one-year-old daughter Rose. My sister was watching her carefully because (C) her teeth just started to grow. Then my sister’s phone started to ring and she left Rose with my grandparents. I didn’t think anything about this and started to play a game.

At once I ran to get my sister. She had had first-aid (急救的) training and knew what to do. Accidents happen quickly and can cost a loved one’s life if you don’t know how to (A)______ with them. After that day, I decided to take first-aid training classes. My training has once helped me save a life, too.

One morning, my father fell off a ladder (梯子). He was lying (B)______ the ground and his eyes were closed. I was scared but knew what to do. I moved his body into the recovery (恢复) position, put a blanket (毯子) over him and called an ambulance (救护车). If you get knocked out, your brain cannot help you breathe or stay warm. The fall could have caused some bleeding, so the recovery position helped keep the throat clear. The ambulance men said I had done the right thing. I think everyone should have first-aid training.
