I am Helen. I study in No. 1 Middle School now. There are forty-five students in my class. All of the students like to travel(旅游). Eight students like to travel by plane, because they think it is fast(快速的). It only takes about two hours to travel by plane from Beijing to Shanghai. But some students think taking a plane is too expensive. Twenty-two students usually travel by train. The trains are not very fast, but they are cheaper(更便宜的). And they can see interesting things through the windows. Fifteen students love to travel by car. Their parents drive them to some beautiful places. They can have a good time with the family. Do you know how I like to travel? I’m one of the twenty-two students.

I hope you’re well. I’m on holiday in London with my friend Jenny. We arrived by plane on Monday and took a taxi to our hotel. I went for a walk in Hyde Park but Jenny didn’t come with me because she was tired.

Then on Tuesday we saw the clock, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace. Queen Elizabeth lives in the Palace, but we didn’t see her! I bought some presents but Jenny didn’t buy anything!

On Thursday morning we relaxed. Then we went to Tower Bridge on the River Thames and looked at the city. It’s very big!

Finally today I did some shopping and Jenny listened to a concert in the park. I came back to the hotel and read the newspaper. Then I wrote some postcards and sent some emails. I took lots of photos and I’m sending them with this email to you!

Tomorrow we’re going to fly home. It was a short holiday, but it was great! Say hello to your mum and dad.

Our trip to the Detroit Zoo will be on Tuesday, May 28^th, 2019. All the students should get to school before 9:00 a.m. that day. Every student should pay $4 for the trip. Please let your children bring the money to school before Monday, May 20^th.

To keep our trip safe(安全的), we don’t want the students’ brothers or sisters to join us. But if you want to go to the zoo with us, you may drive your own car and meet us at the north gate of the zoo.

We don’t have lunch at noon. Please prepare enough food and water for your children. There will be an elephant show in the afternoon. If your children want to watch it, please prepare $2 for it.

It’s good for your children to learn at the zoo. We hope to have a good time.
