Jack loves to read a book each night. He reads all day. He reads at night. Jack’s books are here and there. He can not even find his chair. He can not see which clothes to wear.

“That’s enough!” His mother says, “Clean up these books and get to bed!”

“Clean them up? But how? Right now? What should I do? How do I move（移动）them all from here?”

“Wait! What is this book I see here? Hmmmm... How To Make A Library! I can organize（整理）by the writer’s name. That sounds like a real cool game! Organize them like the alphabet（字母表）. Or I could organize by the title （标题）, too. That’s no sweat! I’m sure I can do it.”

“All A titles. I’ll put here. This is great! Now I see! Next will come for B. This is really so much fun!”

Following these rules, Jack organizes them one by one. He sorts（分类）them all from A to Z. He organizes them happily. His mother is also happy.

“Books are great,” says Jack with a smile, “They help me make a library!”

I’m Li Shan from China. Spring Festival is very important in my country. Like Christmas, it happens every year, but not on the same day. It usually comes in February, but sometimes it comes in January. I’ve got some photos of it. Have a look at them.

Here’s the first one! It’s a few days before Spring Festival. My mother’s cleaning our house and sweeping away bad luck. This is another photo. Look at the food on the table! We always buy a lot of food before the festival. Oh, I love this photo. We are celebrating Spring Festival with a traditional family dinner on the evening before Spring Festival. There’s so much delicious food. I’m eating jiaozi——a kind of dumpling. After the dinner, we usually watch a special programme on TV. Look at the last photo. My parents and I are visiting my uncles and aunts. We are wearing new sweaters and coats. I always get a hongbao. It means lucky money.

From the time he was a little boy, Tony loved to figure out how to make things move.

His father once asked him to feed the chickens at six-thirty in the morning-every day. Tony had an idea--what if he could feed the chickens without leaving his bed?

He rigged up some pulleys (滑轮) and ran rope from the chicken coop (鸡笼) door to his bedroom window. That night, he spread chicken feed outside the chicken coop door.

The next morning... Tony pulled on the rope, and the door to the chicken coop opened! The chickens ate their breakfast. Tony stayed snug in his bed, and his dad, so impressed, never made Tony do another thing.
