1．Pour tag water into the glass until it is about 2/3 full.

2．Drop the egg carefully into the glass and watch it going down towards the bottom.

3．Add about five spoons of salt to the water. Test to see if the egg goes up.

4．Add more salt if the egg is still at the bottom.

The science behind it:

Things go down in the water when they are denser (密度更大的) than the water. By adding salt, we make the water denser. Once the water is denser than the egg, it goes up and floats (漂浮) on the water.
