Reading fluency (流畅) means the ability to read quickly, smoothly, easily with the right expression. Children who are fluent readers make their reading sound like talking. Do you want to be fluent readers like them? 【小题1】

Look for a good place to read. It is easier to read and study if you are comfortable. Make sure that there is good lighting in your reading area. 【小题2】 To make it easier to give all your attention, try to read in a place where you won’t be interrupted (打扰).

Don’t worry about not understanding every word. Sometimes, as readers, we think we must understand the meaning of everything we read. But it isn’t always necessary to understand every word while reading. 【小题3】 The other words around the new word may help you guess the meaning.

【小题4】 Don’t point at each word while you read. When you read word by word, you’re not reading on the level of ideas. You need to read on some level that allows things to come together to form ideas themselves. So practice reading in this way-groups of words that go together.

A.Also, a comfortable chair is needed.
B.Read in word groups rather than word by word.
C.Here is some advice that can help you become a better reader.
D.Your eyes and brain can read much faster than you can speak.
E.Just try to guess the meaning of the new word instead of translating it.
