I had a dream last night. In the dream, my brother, Jimmy sings happily with his friends.

However, this would never be true in real life. My 8-year-old brother is an autistic (患自闭症的) child. He doesn’t know how to talk with others. He can’t do many things by himself. No one would like to make friends with him at school.

To look after him, my mother gave up her job and now stays at home. She takes Jimmy to the doctors to get treatment (治疗) every Friday and Saturday. But it doesn’t work well. Jimmy still doesn’t know what to do at school. He always forgets to bring his things home and even loses his books.

Amazing news! There are robot cooks in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. They started cooking①l_______ dishes at a restaurant in Taiyuan on May 1, 2022.

The cooking robots get cooking skills and recipes for 40 kinds of Shanxi dishes. They are②a_______ to cook fried meat in two minutes. “③We want our customers to enjoy not only the dishes, but also the amazing robot cooking.” said Li Zhiming, the inventor of the robots and owner of the restaurant. Li hopes that Shanxi robot cooking restaurants can open worldwide in the future, like KFC and McDonald’s. “In Taiyuan, the restaurants which are similar to ours in size need 8 to 10 cooks and kitchen helpers. While in our restaurant, we only need two kitchen helpers to help three robot cooks,” said Li.

Kitchen helpers at Li’s restaurant put materials into special boxes, and press the button “ON”. No one knew the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. Two days before his playing at the subway station, the tickets for Joshua Bell’s performance were sold out at a theater in Boston and the price was $100 on average (平均).

This was part of a social experiment (社会实验) which was organized by The Washington Post. One of the possible conclusions (结论) from this experience could be: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music, how many things are we missing?
