Mr. Guo is a teacher from Xi’an. He asked his students to hand in their homework through a QR code（二维码）. “We spent an hour or two in class learning how to generate（使产生）the codes, and in the end everything gets easier. ”Said Guo. “When students finish the homework, they keep in on WeChat（微信）. Then, each student makes his own QR code and gives it to me. So I can check their work everywhere using my computer or telephone.”

The QR codes can be sent to Mr. Guo by email, QQ and WeChat. When Guo scans（扫描）his students’ QR codes, their homework appears on his phone. He finds that their homework becomes more creative（创新的）, with many pictures, music and even videos.

Guo’s students like the new way and think it is interesting. “We are living in the information age. Many students like to work with computers, which makes learning more fun. ”said Tingting, a student of Guo’s.

“The paper is not easy to keep, but the code is easy to keep and share, ”Guo said. “It is worth trying to use new technology in education. Education itself is a kind of creation. I don’t want my students to fill behind the times.”

However, some parents are worried. They are afraid that their children will spend too much time on computers and less time communicating with teachers. But in fact, it is unnecessary. Students still need to look up information in books and write it down when they do their homework. They only use the code when they hand in their work, which doesn’t take them too much time. Also for teachers, it allows them to check the students’ work at any time. And it’s also an easy way to share homework with other students.

There will be a kind of new cars in the future. The car is as small as a bike. But it can carry two people in it. People will like this kind of small cars better than the big ones. Everybody can drive it easily， just like riding a bike. Even children and old people can drive them to schools or parks.

If everyone drives such cars in the future， there will be less pollution in the air. There will be more space for all the cars in cities， and there will also be more space for people to walk in the streets.

The little cars of the future will cost less money to buy and to drive. These little cars can go only 65 kilometers an hour， so driving will be safer. The cars of the future will be fine for going around the city but they will not be useful for a long trip.

This kind of cars can save a lot of gas（汽油）. They will go 450 kilometers， then they have to stop for more gas. They are nice cars， aren't they？

In our lives we can see more and more robots in different places. They are helpful and do lots of things. They can not only work indoors, but also outdoors. They can even do tasks that nobody wants to do.

One special robot can help in fast food restaurants. At first, the robot only made burgers. But workers thought it could do more. Now, the robot can make many kinds of food like French fries and fried onions. It works faster than people because it can do more tasks at the same time. So it saves a lot of time and work. Also, the robot knows exactly when the food is ready. Workers are happy that they don’t have to do them, especially at night.

Another special robot can even do tasks that are difficult or dangerous. It is so big that it can carry things of up to 40 kilograms and can reach as high as ten meters, too. It helps workers fix railway lines (维修铁路线路). That’s because electricity (电) can make some workers in danger and even fall sometimes. The robot can help them solve these problems and makes their lives much safer.

These unusual robots seem to be doing good jobs, but they still need help from people. People control robots with a computer or a remote control (遥控器) and a VR headset (虚拟现实头盔). Scientists say robots can help in more places and play a more important part in the near future.
