Oral (口腔) health is of great importance. Our mouth is the first place where food goes. Keeping our mouth clean and healthy helps our stomach work well. And teeth play an important part in life, too. The healthier our teeth are, the happier we look. Some of us have tooth problems, so we don’t want to meet other people much. And we may smile or talk less.

It’s best to brush your teeth every day. You should brush your teeth for three to five minutes at a time, two to three times a day.

●Use dental floss (牙线)

If you have straight teeth, then using dental floss once a week is enough. If not,   use it every day but not too often.

If your teeth don’t look beautiful, you can go to the dentist. Orthodontic treatment (正畸治疗) can make your teeth healthier and more beautiful. The best age for simple orthodontic treatment is between 12 and 16 years old. So you should solve your problem earlier.

You need to be careful about what you eat and drink. Have less sweet food and drinks.

How to use headphones

Don’t listen to loud music on your headphones for a long time. Follow the 60:60 rule: listen to music at 60 percent of your headphones’ maximum volume (最大音量) for no more than 60 minutes a day.

Over-the-ear headphones are better than in-ear ones. They do a better job of stopping outside noise so you can listen at a lower volume.

Eating healthily can help you look and feel your best. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Some studies show that food rich in fish oil and low in unhealthy fats might create younger looking skin. Drinking enough water helps, too.

Stress (压力) can create skin problems and make your skin look dark. To keep it healthy, take steps to let your stress go.

Get enough sleep and make time to do the things you enjoy.
