Oral (口腔) health is of great importance. Our mouth is the first place where food goes. Keeping our mouth clean and healthy helps our stomach work well. And teeth play an important part in life, too. The healthier our teeth are, the happier we look. Some of us have tooth problems, so we don’t want to meet other people much. And we may smile or talk less.
A dentist from Beijing shares some oral health tips with us.
●It’s best to brush your teeth every day. You should brush your teeth for three to five minutes at a time, two to three times a day.
●Use dental floss (牙线)If you have straight teeth, then using dental floss once a week is enough. If not, use it every day but not too often.
●Go to the dentistMy front teeth are not straight. When I take photos, I don’t give big smiles. I’m afraid that my classmates will laugh at me. If I had straight teeth like other people, I would be very happy. |

If your teeth don’t look beautiful, you can go to the dentist. Orthodontic treatment (正畸治疗) can make your teeth healthier and more beautiful. The best age for simple orthodontic treatment is between 12 and 16 years old. So you should solve your problem earlier.
●Have a good eating habit
You need to be careful about what you eat and drink. Have less sweet food and drinks.
