Everyone knows to be confident is very important now. Here are some ways for you on how to become confident.

Look Confident. Maybe this is the easiest to do. When you’re wearing comfortable clothes and look good in them, then half of your job is done. Starting your day by looking at yourself in the mirror(镜子) and feeling happy help a lot in becoming confident.

Talk Confidently. If you are always soft-spoken, then people will think of you as some soft person, without power. You need to have a correct speed, so that your speech is clear and full of confidence. Talking too fast may make it seems that you are nervous.

Stand Confidently. A good manner(举止) helps a lot. If you look around, this is really common, as you will see other successful people walking and standing in a confident manner.

Feel Confident. People keep on wondering how to be confident, but they don’t think that it is much about one’s mental state(精神状态). Remember whenever you are going to make an important conversation, always keep in a good mental state and the conversation will be successful.

Grading scale of studying

90-100, A; 80-89, B; 70-79, C; 60-69, D; Below 60, E.

Your four major essays will combine to form the main part of the grade for this course: Essay 1 = 10%; Essay 2 = 15%; Essay 3 = 15%; Essay 4 = 20%.

Students will work in groups to complete four work during the course. All the work will be submitted by the assigned date through Blackboard, our online learning and course management system.

Class activities will vary from day to day, but students must be ready to tests drawn directly so it is important to take careful notes during class.

An essay not submitted in class on the due date will lose a letter grade for each class period it is late. If it is not turned in by the 4th day after the due date, it will earn a zero. Daily assignments not completed during class will get a zero. Short writings missed as a result of an excused absence will be accepted.

Taking away a city’s rubbish is a big job. Every day trucks come into a city to collect it. Most rubbish is made up of things we can’t eat or use. If we kept these things we would soon have a mountain of rubbish.

In some cities the rubbish is collected and taken outside of city to a dump(垃圾堆).Often the city dump is placed where the ground is low or there is a big hole. The kitchen rubbish is broken into small pieces and sent into the sewage (排污) system. The sewage system takes away the used water from toilets(厕所), bathtubs and other places.

To keep mice(老鼠) and flies away, some earth is used to cover the newly dumped rubbish. Later, grass may be planted on the rubbish-filled land. Finally, a house or a school may be built there, and then you’d never know that this had once been an old rubbish dump.

In other cities the rubbish is burnt in special places. The fire burns everything but the metal(金属). The metal can be reused and recycled. The food parts of rubbish are put in special piles(堆) where they slowly change into something called humus, which looks like black earth. It is rich with the kinds of things that feed plants and help them grow.
