The process (过程) of donating blood doesn’t take very long. If you’re willing to donate (捐献) blood, you can go to a nearby Red Cross donation center.

As a teenager, you may sometimes feel lost when having problems with your parents. Chen Zanzao from Shenzhen created a charity community called Dear Theodosia to help families facing such issues. It now has 2,000 members.
Chen was inspired (激发想法) by the three-child policy. He and his friend Sina thought it could bring problems like parental favoritism (父母偏爱) and felt that most families don’t know how to deal with this.
They researched parenting and people’s needs and found that the authoritative (权威型的) parenting style, where parents are highly engaged (参与的) in their children’s lives, is most healthy for families.
“We hold discussions to promote useful information,” Chen said. During the pandemic, they held online meetings and reached audiences all over China.
In the discussions, some people felt shy about sharing their stories. Chen and Sina would do one-on-one conversations after the lecture to make sure they got help. “It’s understandable that, at first, they need time to trust us since we are young,” Chen said. “But listening is the key.”
A girl was suffering from parental favoritism and was worried that she was going to make the same mistake with her future child, Chen said. “We helped her realize that she is actually in the best position to break that tradition and parent differently. ”
Chen has realized that the three-child policy brings educational and financial (经济的) challenges. “…Many parents were saying ‘I never thought raising a child would be this difficult’, so I think it’s really important that parents think through whether they could handle the responsibility…” Chen added.
