Tony is seven years old. He begins to go to school this term. He works very hard. He is polite(礼貌的) and has lots of friends. They all like him very much.

It is Saturday today. Tony, his sister Kate and their mother are at home. His mother does some housework and he watches TV. Kate does her homework. At ten o'clock, his father comes back with a bag of apples for the family. Tony likes apples very much and wants to eat one. His mother gives him   four apples and says, “Go and wash them.”

Tony washes the apples and then gives them back to his mother. His mother asks him, “Which apple do you want, Tony？” “The biggest(最大的) one，” Tony answers quickly. “What？” says his mother.   “You should want the smallest(最小的) one, Tony. You should be a polite boy！”

“Should I tell a lie(说谎) just to be polite, Mom？”

Mr and Mrs Fang live in a small wooden house on a farm near Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Mr Fang is 58 years old and his wife is two years younger.

They dream of having a big house, but they do not have enough money to buy one. They have a daughter, but she only makes enough money for herself to live in Russia.

There is a small river near their wooden house. The river is full of fish. Mr Fang often goes down to the river because fishing is his favourite hobby. When he catches fish, he brings them home and his wife usually makes delicious fish soup（汤）. Mr and Mrs Fang have a lot of friends. When their friends visit them, they always ask their friends to eat the nice soup.

Mr and Mrs Fang often have eggs and milk for breakfast. They do not need to spend any money on them, because there are chickens and cows on their farm.

Warren’s mom was busy in the kitchen. She thought Warren was in the family room next to the kitchen playing with balls. But it sounded like he was on the computer instead.

“Warren, are you on the computer? I do not want you on the computer because it is a beautiful, sunny day. Why don’t you go play outside?” said Mom.

“But I am outside!” said Warren.

“How did you find a website outside?” said Mom. She went to the kitchen glass door.S he opened it and looked out into the yard. Then she saw Warren. He was next to the house.

“See, mom, look at my outdoor website. It is not on the Internet,” said Warren.

Mom came out and looked where Warren was pointing. He found a “website” that was also an amazing work of art. Can you guess what Warren found?

“That is a good way to put it,” said Mom as she looked more closely at the spider web.

Mom and Warren looked at the web together. It was beautiful.

“You know, spiders are useful” said Mom.

“A lot of people are scared of spiders,” said Warren, “But I like them!”

“I like them, too,” said Mom. “Spiders can be useful because many of them eat pests(害虫). We should be kind to them. I’m really glad you found a ‘website’ outside.”

“Me, too,” said Warren. “I think this is the coolest website I have seen.”
