Have you ever thought about the possibility that your simple T-shirt could cool you down by up to 5℃ on hot summer days? Thanks to a recent invention, it will probably come true. The amazing invention helps people feel comfortable and fresh in the outdoors on hot days.

Its inventors, engineers Ma Yaoguang and Tao Guangming in China, had a completely fantastic way. They made a special textile. It can take in body beat and send out its energy into space. This textile cools both the objects and the area around them through radiative cooling (辐射冷却). This means that even when it looks like you are wearing a common shirt, you are in fact wearing something that works like a mirror.

Research at Stanford University had already succeeded in cooling the wearers by 3℃, but this invention was not good enough. So researchers still need to test the new invention to decide how well it works while the wearers are standing or walking, and not directly facing the sky, like in their research.

Inventors Ma and Tao are now looking for textile factories and clothing brands that are interested in using their textile. They predict that the new material will increase clothing costs by just 10 percent. “We can make it with mass production which means everybody can get a T-shirt and the cost is almost the same as their old ones.” Tao said.

So if you are a sportsman or simply someone that has to deal with the really high temperature, be patient because your days of feeling hot may be coming to an end!

Tonya is five hundred meters away from the beach. The waves are so big and water is so cold. She finds some wood and puts her arms around it. Tonya is thinking: “I must be strong. I am not going to die. I want to see the sun again.”

Tonya sees a boat far away. She calls to it. “Help! Help me! I am over here!” She moves her arms and shouts, but nobody hears her. The wind moves her away from the boat. Seeing the boat leaving, tiredly, she sleeps…

Ten meters behind her is a big fin, a very big fin. Under the fin is a killer whale. The whale is making a noise.

“Killer whales eat people. I am going to die.” thinks Tonya desperately.

The killer whale comes nearer and nearer. Tonya can’t feel her legs. “Help me!” She shouts and starts to swim away from the big fin.

The killer whale goes nearer to her. She closes her eyes and waits.

But she does not die. The big whale is under her. Suddenly she is on his back. The killer whale moves slowly to the shore. He is taking Tonya to the beach.

Tonya puts her hands on the fin in front of her. She smiles and puts her head on his big back, falling asleep.
