Green School is the home to all the students. Here they can join in many interesting things.

The students of Grade Seven can have a school trip to Panda Base (熊猫基地) next Friday. We want all the students in Grade Seven to have a good time.

Many people like to travel on their holidays. 【小题1】 They think it is safe and it isn’t expensive. A tour guide makes sure the group (团队) can see a lot of interesting and beautiful sights (风景). Other people like travelling alone or with friends. 【小题2】

People travel for many reasons (原因). Some people travel to learn more about other countries’ people, culture (文化) and so on. 【小题3】 They want to do some different things, such as bungee umping (蹦极跳). 【小题4】 They look for new things and buy them.

There are different ways to travel. Some people take trains, boats or buses, some fly, 【小题5】 Some people like to live a long time in each place, but others like to visit more places in a short time.

I went to Phuket, Thailand, to go snorkeling (潜泳) during the summer holiday. I had a very good time.

On the first day, I learnt to snorkel with my coach in the swimming pool. It was not very difficult. I learned quickly and couldn’t wait to try snorkeling in the sea the following day.

I took a boat to the snorkeling spot early next morning.   When I jumped into the water, I was so nervous that I forgot to observe the things around me at first.   After I got used to breathing (呼吸) with a snorkel mask under water, I was amazed by the scenery (风景)   down the sea. It’s a completely different world, compared (比较) to what it seemed to be from the ground. There were different types of fish everywhere, swimming freely among the coral reefs. Some of the fish were white and grey; some were yellow. I also saw an eel hiding under the rocks. And the sunlight shone through the water to the sand and rocks on the seabed. With the mask, I could only hear the sound of my own breathing and I enjoyed the noiselessness there. That made me feel so relaxed.

I was still very excited when I got onto the boat.   I even thought about snorkeling again one month after the trip. I really enjoy snorkeling and I’m looking forward to doing it again.
