Do you know growing pains (疼痛)? Growing pains aren’t a disease. Sometimes you don’t have to see a doctor. Usually children can get them between the ages of 3 and 5 or 8 and 12. When children are over fifteen, most of them don’t get growing pains. Children often get growing pains in their legs. They often start before bedtime and sometimes in the middle of the night. But they go away by the morning. Doctors don’t know why. They think when children run, climb or jump a lot during the day, they may have pains in their legs at night.
Parents can help children feel better by buying some medicine. But it is not good for children. Here are some ways that may help children feel better:

It’s just another day at school. You and your friend are chatting in the classroom. Suddenly, your friend’s nose starts to bleed. What would you do? Would you be scared? Or would you do something to help your friend?
In daily life, we run into emergencies now and then. Nosebleeds are just one kind of emergency. But if you learn some basic first aid skills, you can help people during emergencies and maybe even save their lives.
The second Saturday of September is World First Aid Day, which fell on Sept.11 in 2021. Right now, it is a good time for us to learn more about first aid.
First aid, as its name tells us, refers to the first steps you can take to care for someone who’s hurt. It includes keeping him safe and staying calm. It also includes getting help.
Every year in China, 3.2 million people die in emergencies. That’s six people per minute on average. Doctors say that the first 10 minutes after an accident can make the difference between life and death. This is why it’s important for us to learn first aid.
CPR (心肺复苏术) is one of the most useful first aid skills. It can help people who’ve suffered cardiac arrest (心脏骤停).

Qomolangma is the third mountain of the Himalayas, so it is called the Third God Mountain in Tibetan language.
Qomolangma is very famous and it is higher than any other mountain in the world. Its newest height is 8,848. 86 meters, which was announced on December 8th, 2020. At the height of 8,000 meters, there is only 30% O2 and the human body can only stand this height for a few days, so it is dangerous for humans to climb higher. But many climbers want to challenge themselves in the face of difficulties. As Alan Arnette, a mountain climber from America, said “Climbing mountains drives you to look deep inside yourself, and lets you find out whether you are healthy enough and strong enough in mind when you want to stop.”
It’s a good thing that Qomolangma gives people a chance to become strong-willed when trying to achieve their dreams. ▲ because many people leave their waste behind, such as water bottles and plastic bags. They cause the environmental pollution for Qomolangma. Many local farmers said their sheep and cows would die after eating the plastic bags and it was too difficult to clean them up. Luckily, many volunteers from all over the world came to Qomolangma to join in the clean-up activity. A volunteer advised, “When climbing Qomolangma, mountain climbing lovers should always take good care of themselves, and at the same time, take good care of Qomolangma.”
