5G will make self-driving cars possible. For safety, self-driving cars need super-fast data transmission (传输) to communicate with their nearby environment. 5G is just what makes self-driving cars achieve this. Even airplanes will become “smart” in the near future. Passengers will be able to use 5G networks in the air to connect to the Internet or order food and drinks.

5G will be a big help for students who take online classes. In the world, many people live in poor areas where there are no schools. But with 5G, this will change. Students all over the world will be able to see places like the Great Wall without leaving their rooms.

In addition, 5G will be used in hospitals. It will be easier for doctors to care for patients who live far away by 5G.

However, 5G has its own weaknesses. According to China National Radio, though 5G will make our lives easier, it will not be perfect. For one thing, 5G will not “travel” far. On 4G networks, you can be 10 kilometers away from the nearest transmission centre and connect the Internet easily. But 5G will only cover about 300 meters. And in order to use 5G, we will have to buy new products specifically designed for 5G that are expensive at present.
