Book Crossing, a new way of reading, is developing, with book lovers leaving their books in public places, to be picked up and 【小题1】 (借用) by others.

When most people hear of a charity asking for a donation (捐赠), they may wonder how much money they can give. But money is not the only thing you can donate—your time can be just as 【小题1】 (value).

For example, my grandmother spends three afternoons a week 【小题2】 (volunteer) in the local Oxfam shop. One of my friends’ fathers spends Monday mornings driving elderly people 【小题3】 hospitals for free. Then there are people 【小题4】 donate their lives to help less lucky people. Alpine skiing (高山滑雪) is one of the most dangerous sports at the Winter Olympics. If there is an accident, ski doctors are required to reach an injured person as 【小题1】 (safe) and as fast as possible.
