There is a big tree growing outside my window. One branch (分支) of ________ tree almost touched the window.

One day, I saw a robin (知更鸟) making a nest in the tree. Soon the little nest ________. The robin laid three eggs in it. Day after day, she sat on her eggs to keep them warm.

A few weeks later, I heard a strange sound coming from the tree. Three baby birds were in the nest. Their ________ were still closed. They had only a few fluffy feathers (茸毛).
