Few of us really understand that a father’s love is like a mountain. But in the US movie I Am Sam, I see this kind of love.

Sam Dawson has a daughter, and her name is Lucy. She is 7 years old. Sam has mental disability (智力障碍), and he is not like the other adults. Sam just gets the intelligence (智力) of 7-year-old kids, so people think he cannot care for Lucy and send her away to another family. And they think the family can take care of Lucy better. Sam finds many part-time jobs. He works very hard and he often comes to the family to see Lucy. one night, Lucy goes to Sam’s house. She tells him that she wants to stay with him and doesn’t want to go back, but Sam takes her back to her new family’s home, because Sam thinks it is better for Lucy. He says he can take care of her in other ways, Finally Sam’s act wins Lucy’s heart.

This movie tells us what a father’s love is. Sam knows how to love. He always tries his best to take care of Lucy and he will do it all the way. Everyone will be moved after watching this film. We can learn the importance of a father in our life. The US writer Fanny Fern said, “For kids, the name of father is another name for love.”

“Fire! It’s on fire!” A cry cut through the silence of the night. A couple was trying to save their 6-year-old boy from the fire. However, before they could reach out for the little boy, they were trapped in the fire, only leaving the helpless boy.

Their neighbors called the fire department, then stood helplessly by, unable to enter the house because of the big fire. The little boy appeared at the second-floor window, crying for help, but the words spread among the crowd that the firefighters would be a few minutes late because they were at the other fire.

Suddenly, a man appeared with a ladder, put it up against the side of the house and quickly disappeared inside without stop or fear. When he reappeared with the little boy in his arms. He passed the child to the waiting arms below, then disappeared into the night without leaving a word behind.

The police found that the child had no living relatives, so weeks later a meeting was held in the town hall to determine who would take the child into their home and bring him up.

A teacher said she would like to raise the child. She pointed out that she could ensure him a good education. A farmer offered him an upbringing on his farm. He pointed out that living on a farm was healthy and satisfying. Others spoke, giving their reasons why it was to the child’s advantage to live with them.

Finally, the town’s richest man rose and said, “I can give this child all the advantages that you have mentioned here, plus money and everything that money can buy.”

Throughout all this, the child remained silent, his eyes on the floor. It seemed that nothing could excite him from the feeling of loss. “Does anyone else want to speak?” asked the meeting chairman.

Then a man came forward from the back of the hall. It was the man who had disappeared. He walked slowly and appeared to be in great pain. When he got to the front of the room, he stood directly in front of the little boy and held out his arms. His hands and arms were terribly scarred. The meeting chairman asked, “Tell us, little boy, will you go with this man and be his son?”

The boy looked up at him with tears in his eyes. He rubbed his face and cried out, “___▲___!” Then he determinedly nodded a very big “yes” to the meeting chairman. All the people stood up and clapped for the boy’s choice.

Happiness is important for everyone. Most people want to be happy, but few know how to find happiness. Money and success alone do not bring lasting happiness. Happiness depends on ourselves. In other words, we make our own happiness. Here are a few ways to help you be happier.

Finally, many people find happiness in helping other people. According to studies, people feel good when they volunteer their time to do many meaningful things for other people. If we want to feel happier, we should do something nice for someone.

Happiness is of great importance for everyone and we should make happiness by ourselves.
