Most parents, I suppose, have had the experience of reading a bedtime story _________ their children. And they must have realized how difficult it is to write a good children’s book. Either the author has aimed too _________, so that children can’t follow what is in his story, _________ the story seems to be talking to the readers.

The best children’s books are neither very difficult nor very simple, and satisfy both the child who hears the story and the adult who reads it. _________, there are in fact few books like this, so the problem of finding the right bedtime story is not easy to solve.

Children, left for themselves, often _________ the worst possible interest in literature. Shana Murray is a 6th-grade teacher in Mesa USA. She is training her students for a marathon to help them get the energy they _________ during the COVID-19.

“To be honest, I _________ hate sports. I didn’t think I was able to do this, _________ in the end I still joined,” one of Shana Murray’s students David Peria said. Murray has discovered this _________ like David’s completely. But she still _________ most of her class to take part in the Mesa Marathon with her.

She said it was an idea she _________ up with while running. The students will run 1 — 3 mile stretches (路程) of the 26-mile marathon _________ her and help motivate (激发) each other along the way.

“Teachers have to be _________ in ways to motivate their students. They should find as many ways as they can.” Murray said. “In my view, compared with other _________ running is a good choice. It’s a good comparison to life. When distance running you might meet much __________ you get it over and then become stronger.” Now her students are on the way to learning they can __________ anything. “I hope that it will help train their __________ to think that way more often for themselves as well.” Murray said.

There is another discovery Murray realized many of the kids don’t have proper running shoes. __________ of them come from poor families. They can’t afford shoes. So Murray started a Go Fund Me activity to __________ money for their shoes so that they can train for the marathon.

“__________ they can use this example in the rest of their life as their motivating tool, then I would consider it a success,” Murray said.
