Animals all need food to live. Some animals only eat vegetables and plants, while others eat meat.

A food chain（食物链） shows us what different animals eat. For example, some snakes catch （捕捉） and eat birds or take eggs from their nests. Birds eat insects（昆虫） and spiders（蜘蛛） because birds can see them from far away and fly down to catch them. Spiders often catch butterflies and flying insects in their webs.

The butterfly is below（在……下面） all the other animals in the food chain because it doesn’t eat any other animals. The snake is at the top of the chain above the others. ）

Sometimes animals in the food chain become extinct. This is bad for the food chain. Because some animals don’t have enough food to eat. So all the different animals are important in the food chain.

Bill is a two-month-old elephant. He is very happy today because many people take photos with him. He feels like a star. He wants to live with people. So, he runs out of the zoo at night. He goes to a supermarket first. All the people run out of the supermarket after they see Bill. Bill finds people don’t like him out of the zoo. He is a little sad (难过的). But he still has a good time in the supermarket. He eats some bananas. They’re delicious. He drinks milk, too.

After that, Bill goes out of the supermarket. Then he hears someone shouting in a house, “Help! Save my son!” So, Bill runs to the house. He sees a room in the house is on fire (着火). He wants to help but he can’t find water. Then he sees a swimming pool behind the house. He uses his nose to get water and sprays (喷洒) to the room. Bill does this many times. At last, he saves the boy in that room.

I have two pets. They are Wangwang, a dog, and Huahua, a cat.

Wangwang is brown and grey. He is naughty(淘气的). He sometimes steals(偷) food in the kitchen. Once, when there was nobody at home, Wangwang pulled (拉) a piece of meat off the table. But he was not careful enough . The plate also fell to the floor. When I got home, I saw the broken plate all over the floor, so I became very angry. Wangwang was so afraid that he went back to his bed in the garden at once.

Huahua is a white and yellow cat. She is not beautiful but she is very lovely. Every night at weekends, Huahua sleeps on my bed. When she sleeps, she always snores. It is very funny.

Huahua is also naughty. Whenever she does something bad and my grandma tries to catch her, she runs away quickly and hides quietly under the bed.

Wangwang and Huahua love to play games with me and I like them very much.
