Felicia from Sweden doesn’t let anything get in her way, even a life-changing accident (事故).

After a serious car accident, Felicia had to get used to getting around in a wheelchair (轮椅). But that didn’t stop her from following her dream of becoming a top horse rider.

In early June 2016, 17-year-old Felicia got hit by a car. When she woke up in the hospital, she found both of her legs were missing. However, Felicia didn’t stop trying to achieve her dream. She wanted to get back on the horse. She had ridden as a little girl and decided in the hospital to try again. She wasn’t sure if she would be able to. But after ten weeks’ training, she could ride once again!

“The horses have meant a lot to me,” Felicia said. “When I sit on a horse, I don’t feel like the disabled Felicia; I feel like the confident (自信的) Felicia.”

She has taken part in competitions around the world since then, showing she doesn’t need legs to win.

“What I have learned from all this is that you should dare to challenge (挑战) yourself, and remember that you are the only person that sets your own limits (限制),” Felicia said.

James Blunt has had a fairly amazing career. Rising to fame in 2005 with his song, You're Beautiful, the 31-year-old British singer has seen his songs top charts(登顶排行榜)in many countries. Chinese fans have got a taste of his live show, as he performed in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing early April, 2018.

But many people don't know much about Blunt besides his music. Before taking up music as a career, Blunt served in the British Army, reaching the rank of captain(上尉军衔). That's why his nickname is the "captain poet".

He served in a unit(部队)known as the Life Guards. His duty was to guard the royal family on important occasions(场合). He once joked that the most famous person he knew was Queen Elizabeth. He said, “I don't have her private phone number or anything, but I was in her company a lot.”

Before becoming a captain, he was also sent to join the activities of keeping the peace by armies in Kosovo. He took his guitar with him.

"Whenever you are in the army, you take something to keep yourself amused(愉悦的). Some bring a pack of cards, some a football, I took a guitar," Blunt told the Herald-Times.

His wartime experience inspired him to write. When he was in Kosovo, he wrote the anti-war(反战)song No Bravery. Even to this day, Blunt remains an outspoken(直言不讳)supporter for army veterans(老兵), particularly those who return home wounded.

Blunt’s music career took off after he returned from war. From the war-torn streets of Kosovo to the biggest live music halls in the world, Blunt has come a long way.
