It’s reported that in the new century people will wear “smart clothes”. People use them not only for covering their bodies, but also for many other kinds of uses.

Many kinds of smart clothes will come into the market in the new century. An English clothing maker invented the “MP3 blue jacket”. This kind of jacket can be used not as only an MP3 player, but also a cellphone. How amazing! A German company, made a cloth keyboard, which can be put in pants. So you can control your computer with it easily anywhere. When it gets dirty, you can wash it and make it clean.

With the improving of the new technology, smart clothes will get much smarter. Scientists are trying to make clothes that can show your body’s temperature and heat you up before you feel cold. There will be another kind of smart clothes. They are special medical （医疗的） smart clothes. They can tell the doctor when you are in danger. They can also provide important information about your environment. They can warn （警告） you of serious pollution. Smart jackets with GPS （ 全球定位系统） technology can protect you from getting lost.

People will love the idea. Maybe smart clothes will be common on New York streets one day, and even around you.

Can you believe I’m in a school of 2030 now? The school is like a beautiful garden. The wall of our classroom is colorful. Our school life is interesting and wonderful.

In the morning, we have three classes. We study on the Internet(网络）. We use e-books. The teachers are all robots (机器人). They are of different sizes and they can answer any questions about any subjects. Our robot music teacher plays the violin very well. In the afternoon, we take a new plane to Mars(火星) to have two classes. I can make friends with aliens(外星人). They are friendly and know us well. After class, we play football with aliens. Then we go back to the earth. Don’t you think life in this school is very interesting?

The phone is the size of a small handbag and when the person is speaking into it, it covers half of his face! In sixteen years, people have entered the mobile phone age. Some mobile phones these days are so small that they can fit right into your hand. If these changes have taken place(发生) in just sixteen years, what kind of mobile phones will be used in the future?

Today's mobile phones are no longer used just for making and receiving calls.

They can even connect us to the Internet and act as personal digital assistants.

They can do all the things a computer can do. They can send short messages and e-mails.

They can also take and send photos just like a digital camera. Mobile phones of the future may be able to play music in the same way as an MD player. As for size, the technology will make them small enough to fit on your arm, just like a watch you wear. Can you imagine what mobile phones will be able to do in another sixteen years?
