Partying is fun. But if you are invited to a party by a foreigner, what should you wear? Should you bring anything? If so, what? Don’t worry. We are going to give you some tips about partying with foreigners.

First, you should ask if it’s a formal (正式的) or casual party. Then you will know what to wear. 在一个非正式聚会上，带一瓶葡萄酒或一些其他饮料或食物就可以了。 It won’t be polite (礼貌的) to bring someone along with you if you don’t ask your host first. At some formal parties, like a birthday party, a small gift will be enough. Giving money would make the host uncomfortable. Finally never overstay your welcome (因为做客时间太久而不再受欢迎). When it’s getting late, it’s time to thank your host for a wonderful evening and say good night.

Homes and families

Many English people would like to live in houses, not flats, because most houses have gardens. They like growing vegetables and flowers when they have a free day.

Daily lire(日常生活)

Most office workers start work at about nine in the morning and finish it at about five in the afternoon. They don’t go home for lunch. They just have quick meals at noon. They usually have big meals at the weekend. Many English people like outdoor sports and travelling. They think they are good for their health.

School life

Children go to school at about 9:00 a.m. and go back home at about 3:30 p.m. Most children have lunch at school. All children go to school when they are four or five years old.

Shops

Most shops open at about 9:00 a.m. and close at about 6:00 p.m. Usually, they don’t close for lunch.

Do you like sports? Do you play basketball or baseball in your P.E. class or after school?

My sister and I like sports very much. We are in our school tennis club （俱乐部）.We play tennis in the morning. It’s very interesting. First, we do some exercises （练习）.Then, the teacher teaches us to play tennis. We watch him carefully. Later, we play in pairs. Some boys can play very well, but we can’t. They often come to help us. Our teacher is glad to see this. He says our school has many clubs.

Sports are really fun, and they are good for us.
