I have a good friend. Her name is Mary. She comes from the USA（美国）. She is in China with her father and her mother. She can speak a little Chinese. She studies in No. 1 Middle School in Shanghai. Her parents are both teachers. Her father and mother are in the same school. She is a good student. She goes to school from Monday to Friday. She likes getting up early. She doesn’t like to be late. She often goes to school very early. But today she gets up late. So she gets to the classroom at 7:30 today. But there aren’t any students in it. She is not late. She is early. It’s Sunday. The students are all at home.

There was a terrible rainstorm last night. Now the Hills are talking about what they were doing at the time of the rainstorm.

Mr. Hill: I was writing a report on the computer. Two days ago, I listened to the weather report. But I didn’t think it would come so suddenly. I quickly stood up and walked around to see if everything was OK. Other families might be in trouble. So I went to help them.
