How to Become a Professional Storyteller
The art of storytelling has a long history. If you want to be a professional storyteller, you can try the following ways.
Read a lot.
The more books you read, the more materials you have for your storytelling. Read both fiction and nonfiction, thinking about what made a story memorable. Good fictions show you how to tell a story in a vivid way. Excellent nonfictions help improve your logic ability.
Attend storytelling clubs and festivals.
Storyteller groups host festivals all over the country. Whether you are a storyteller or a member of the audience, hearing other storytellers can inspire you to find new stories of your own. Clubs and festivals are great opportunities to practice your storytelling ability.
Get feedback.
Get feedback from people who are professional storytellers. Ask them what worked and what didn’t. Make improvements if their opinions make sense. Review your own storytelling style and material to become the best storyteller you can be.
Use body language.
Adding physical movement to your storytelling helps attract the attention of the audience. This would help the audience better understand the scene. But don’t over-perform your story.
Be confident in your delivery.
Keep your voice loud so that everyone can hear you. Your delivery should be energetic and memorable. Do not use filler words like “uh” “anyway” “you know” and so on. Keep your head up and eyes forward. Even if the story you tell is fictional, show enthusiasm for the characters and events.

Travelling is amazing, isn’t it? Well, we are always on the look out for opinions and this week we asked some people what they disliked most about traveling abroad. Here are the most terrible things about travelling around the world.
●Spending MoneyWe all wish travelling will be free but unluckily it isn’t unless you are working abroad. When you have to eat, live and visit places of interest, you will spend a lot of money.
●Language Barrier(障碍)Not being able to communicate is a big problem for a lot of travelers. We suggest you try learning a few local phrases which will really improve your trip and experience, even if it is just the basics.
● ▲Many people said medical and health concerns, the risk of catching an illness and getting bitten by mosquitoes were top of things to dislike when travelling in some countries. Illnesses like malaria and dengue fever are a common worry when in places like Africa.
●Culture ShockWhen you go abroad, everything is different from the culture to what you eat and normal everyday things like shopping. Food is unlikely to be what you are used to back home. This is something you will have to get used to.
Remember that a foreign country is designed for its own people, not for tourists. You will really improve your experience if you research the place you go to. You will know what to expect and you won’t get any shocks on arrival.
