We’re often in difficult times or meet difficult problems. They are hard to solve and they are common in our life. When we’re in difficult times, just stopping isn’t enough. We need to ask for help.

When I’m in difficult times, I never turn to someone for help. In fact, I am lucky enough to have a helpful group. They always support me when I meet some problems.

First, I have a good relationship with my parents. They always give me good advice. So when I’m in difficult times, my parents are usually the first ones I turn to. As teenagers, many of us don’t think our parents know us. However, they have gone through more situations（情况）as hard as or maybe even harder than those we are having now. So why not listen to them and learn from their experiences?

There are quite a few different situations. But we don’t want to ask our parents for advice. For those, we can turn to our friends. It’s great to get advice and help from a peer（同龄人）.

Don’t be shy to ask for help when you’re in difficult times. The help from others can often solve your difficulties!

This morning my parents and I are in a big store. Lots of things are on sale. There are all kinds of (各种各样的)skirts in many colors. I like the white skirt. It’s only $19. My mother wants a hat. The hats are in white, blue, black and yellow for only $8 each. She likes the blue one. My father doesn’t want to buy clothes. He wants a computer. A computer is on sale in the store. It’s only $199. It’s very cheap. He decides to buy it. Finally we take the white skirt ,the blue hat and the computer. They are $226 in total.

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics saw the rise of new Chinese sports stars. Many post-00s athletes challenged（挑战）themselves and showed love for their sports.

Gu Ailing won two medals from her first two events—one gold, one silver. The 18-year-old won the women’s freeski（自由式滑雪）big air event with an amazing jump. She made four and a half rotations（旋转）in the air before landing backward. The teenager was so excited that she cried after the jump. “The tears（眼泪）were mostly of joy, because I succeeded doing a jump I have never tried before,” she said afterward.

More than a skier, Gu Ailing is a part-time fashion model. She is also good at the piano. She will study at Stanford University in the fall. Gu wants to send a message to young winter sports lovers. “Just go for it,” she said.

Su Yiming, who just turned 18, agrees with Gu. He also won a gold medal for snowboarding（单板滑雪）in the men’s big air and a silver medal in the slopestyle（坡面障碍技巧）. “As a snowboard lover, I don’t care much about the score. Instead, I just want to make more fantastic tricks（高难度动作）. The happiness comes from that,” said Su.

Su said he was “too excited” to describe standing on the podium（领奖台）with his childhood idols—Canadian snowboarders Max Parrot and Mark McMorris.

“I want to say to all Chinese snowboarders that they should keep working hard and never give up, because dreams can come true,” he said after his win.
