There is a “tree hole”, and you can share your secrets with it without feeling uneasy. Let’s have a look at what we have received.

Student A

We all know that campus bullies (恶霸) are bad guys. But I am ashamed (羞愧的) to say that I used to be one of them. I often bullied others on campus (校园) when I was young. For example, when I saw a student holding something I liked, I would snatch (一把抓住) it without saying a word. I realize my faults and really want to say sorry to them.

Student B

I remember when I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a scientist. However, as time went by, I discovered that the dream was childish (幼稚的) because it would be too difficult. Besides, I’m not talented enough and I have to work very hard. So I want to tell the “tree hole” that I only want to be a common person now and live with love in a very happy life.

Student C

I want to admit (承认) to the “tree hole” that I’m a solitary person who dislikes to open heart to care about or talk to anyone because I find that there are not many people understanding me. It seems that the whole world is against my ideas and behaviors. I know that people around me are sometimes friendly. However, I just cannot. The more I spend time alone, the quieter I become. I don’t want to pretend to get on well with others.

So, what would you like to say to the “tree hole”?

Searching for parking spaces has long been a headache for many office workers in big cities across China, especially for those working in central business areas. Parking near their companies for five days a week could cost them a lot of money. At the same time, with prices for parking lots in residential areas(居民区) rising, but most of their spaces remain unoccupied(闲置的) during workdays.

Now a new form of sharing economy(经济) has appeared in China—the shared parking space.

It has become a huge market in some Chinese big cities.

In Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong, up to10,000 personal parking spaces have been turned into shared ones with the help of Airparking, an online shared parking platform(平台)developed by a network company from Guangzhou. Through a special app, users can either share or order a parking place. Owners who have unoccupied parking spaces can share some information, including the parking position, license(执照) number and time limit on the platform. With the information, users can easily find the nearest place to park. The average parking cost for shared parking is four yuan each hour, almost the same as the service fee(费用) in traditional parking spaces.

Qingdao is one of the Chinese cities that encourage shared parking. Some other big cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Hefei, have also begun to try this idea. A college graduate(毕业生)from Shanxi named Wu Jun created a 9-page “WeChat guide.” With drawings and simple words, the step-by-step guide explains how to send messages, take pictures and make video calls. Wu made the guide for her parents. “My parents are getting old. They need an easy way to learn how to use technology,” she said.

Wu’s experience is usual nowadays. Around the world, 40 per cent of parents learn about new technologies, including computers, mobile Internet and social media(媒体), from their children, according to a study.

Parents used to teach their kids about almost everything. Now for the first time, the teachers become the students, while the students turn into the teachers.

“The change of the roles comes from the fast development of society tea and technology,” says Zhou Xiaohong, a professor(教授)from Nanjing University. Zhou said, “The Internet and other forms of media give children ways to get information besides from asking older generations(辈). As a result, in the age of information, it’s possible that children know more than their parents do.”

It’s reported that 56.7 per cent of Internet users and 67.2 per cent of social media users in China are under the age of 30. The young generation usually acts as a bridge between their families and the new environment. When they teach their parents new technologies, parents can learn the new world by themselves.

Cheating (作弊) can happen in a lot of different ways. When people cheat, it's not fair to other people, like the kids who studied for the test or who were the true winners of a game.

Some people like the action of cheating mainly because it makes difficult things seem easy, like getting all the right answers on the test. But it doesn’t solve the problem of not knowing the knowledge and it won’t help on the next test---unless the person cheats again.

People lose respect for cheaters and think less of them. The cheaters themselves may feel bad because they know they are not really earning that good grade. And, if they get caught cheating, they will be in trouble at school, and maybe at home, too.

Some kids cheat because they’re lazy and they want to get good grades without spending the time studying. Other kids might feel like they can’t pass the test without cheating. Even when there seems to be a “good reason” for cheating, cheating isn’t a good idea.

If you were sick or upset about something the night before and couldn’t study, it would be better to talk with the teacher about this. And if you don't have enough time to study for a test because of swim practice, you need to talk with your parents about how to balance swimming and school.

A kid who thinks cheating is the only way to pass a test needs to talk with the teachers and parents so they can find some solutions together. Talking about these problems and working them out will feel better than cheating.
