Now cities are full of cars. Some families even have two or more cars. Parking (停车) is a serious problem, and it causes the traffic around the cities. Something will have to be done to change them. What will the cars of tomorrow be like?

Little cars may some day take the place of today’s big cars. If everyone drives little cars in the future, there will be less air pollution. There will be more space for parking cars in cities, and the streets will be less crowded. Three little cars can park in the space now needed for a car of the usual size. The little cars will cost less to own and to drive. Driving will be safer, too. What’s more, these little cars can go about 65 kilometers an hour.

Little cars in the future will be fine for getting around a city, but they will not be suitable for long trips. If big cars are still used along with the small ones, two sets of roads will be needed in the future. Some roads will be used for the big and fast cars, and other roads will be needed for the small ones.

We spend hours, days and years of our lives in school. Imagine(想象) you could design(设计) your dream school. What would it be like? What would you be doing? We wanted to find out what teenagers around the world thought. Here is what they said：

Richard from the USA：My dream school would have a big swimming pool and two soccer fields. It would also have a cinema,   a gym and a shopping center. My school has none of these,   and I think there should be more pleasant things for students to do while they are studying.

Sonia from Italy：I'd like a room where we can relax and play computer games. I'd also like to have a music room.I think there should be a place for everyone to go and relax after class.

Wu from Beijing：I think it would be great to have another day off (休息日) every week, besides the weekend. If that day was a Friday or a Monday, we would have a long weekend every week. What fun! I also think school should start later, at about 10 o'clock, and finish earlier.

Hannah from Australia：In my dream school, I think the teachers should give us more freedom (自由) and choices about how we study and what we study. I also think it's not necessary for us to wear the school uniform every day. I really don't like wearing it.

What do you think the life in the future will be like? Here are some answers from some students.

Yuan Li: If we don’t take good care of the earth now. Our children and grandchildren will be born into a world with much pollution. There will be fewer trees and more buildings, because there will be more people.

Wang Tao: I think the weather in the future will be much hotter. People will be able to live in the sea, away from the crowded and noisy cities on land.

Li Yue: I think the life in the future will be better. Most people in the world will use “green cars” by 2055, so there will be less pollution and people will live to be 200 years. As for space travel, I would say, we will visit Mars (火星) in about fifty years.
