Now I am writing to you in 2024 and I feel excited. When you read this letter one day in the future, I guess you may be feeling excited, too. I hope you can be a successful man in 2044.

To get good education, I hope you can get into a good high school in two years and later a good college (大学). You will learn something about medicine and become a doctor. You will be really surprised at yourself because your work helps the country even the world. I guess you will invent some new medicine and it can help people with serious illnesses.

I also have many questions for you about life in 2044. What will the future be like in 2044? Will things be cheaper by then? Will people have their own planes? What kind of energy will we use? Will the robots do more with our work even study? I’m waiting for your answers. I hope you will remember that you loved playing basketball and the guitar. Please keep up the hobbies, no matter how busy you are. See you in 2044.

You in 2024

There will be a kind of new cars in the future. The car is as small as a bike. But it can carry two people in it. People will like this kind of small cars better than the big ones. Everybody can drive the car easily, just like riding a bike. Even children and old people can drive them to schools or parks.

The little cars of the future will cost less money to buy and to drive. These little cars can go only 65 kilometers an hour, so driving will be safer. The cars of the future will be fine for going around the city, but they will not be useful for a long trip.

This kind of cars can save a lot of gas. They will go 450 kilometers, and then they have to stop for more gas. They are nice cars, aren’t they?

It is 2050. The dream of going on holiday in space has come true. So would you want to become a space tourist?

I would love to go to space. I want to know what life is like without gravity (重力).

It can be dangerous to travel to space. What if I get lost? I am also afraid of heights (高).

I don’t want to be a space traveler. For me, I only care (关心) what I have on this planet, like my family, my school and my dog. I would like to work hard and try to do the best with what I’m doing now.

I’d love to! We studied the solar system (太阳系) in science classes this term. It would be great to see things I could never see on the earth.

It would be cool. But I would miss my family. Also it takes a lot of time to train to become a space tourist. I don’t think I have time for that. Finally, I don’t think I have enough money to take a trip to space.
