【小题1】 When kids break rules, parents will give them some punishments, which aren’t included in rules. In fact, when you tell your kids about a new rule, you should talk with them about the price they should pay for breaking the rule—what the punishment will be.

【小题2】 Violence or threat (暴力或威胁) is not good. For example, if you find your son smoking, you may limit his social activities for two weeks. You should punish your kids only in ways you have discussed before the rule is broken. 【小题3】

It’s understandable that you’ll be angry when rules are broken. 【小题4】 But it’s not a very good one. Sharing your feelings of anger, disappointment or sadness with your kids can have a better effect on them. Try to do that. When your kids know what they have done has made you, they will feel guilty (内疚的). When they know their actions influence you greatly, they will obey better.

Good afternoon, listeners. Welcome to Wasteria Lane Health Center Radio. Before our music program starts, I'm going to repeat some of our rules.

Our health center can hold 600 patients(病人). There are 6 beds in each ward(病房). The visiting hours are from 2：30 to 3：30 in the afternoon and from 7：00 to 8：00 in the evening. But remember only two people can see you at the same time. We are sorry about that, but you can understand us because a peaceful environment and enough rest are always indispensable to patients.

The other rules are about our hours. We start our day quite early—you might not be used to that. We wake you up at 6：00 a．m., and breakfast is at 8：00 a．m., lunch at noon. There's tea at 3：30 p．m.and supper is at 6：00 p．m. You are free to do some relaxing activities like walking around, watching TV, drawing and so on. But do not leave our health center.

You can see the “NO SMOKING” sign—we don't allow smoking here. I'm sure you understand why. However, if you do need to smoke, there are some smoking rooms for you.

You will find the radio switch(开关) on the wall near your bed, with your own headphone, if you want to listen. It's our own radio. Wish   you a quick recovery(康复).
