Tim comes from Australia. He studies in a middle school in Guangzhou. He usually gets up at 6:30 a.m. and then reads Chinese. He has breakfast at 7:20 a.m. And then he goes to school by bike. He is never late for school. Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. He has four classes in the morning and two in the afternoon. He has lunch at 12:30 p.m. at home with his parents.They both work as reporters(记者) at a TV station. After school, sometimes he plays volleyball with his classmates, and sometimes he reads books in the school library. He goes back home at 4:40 p.m. After supper, he always studies Chinese. He goes to bed at about 9:10 p.m. He likes China and he thinks Chinese people are friendly and he believes(相信) he can make many friends here.

What’s your favorite animal? Monkeys, tigers or...Now, let me tell you something about pandas. They come from China. Their heads and stomachs are white and their legs are black and strong. They are fat, but they never get angry with you. Their black eyes are like a pair of black glass balls. Pandas like living in bamboo woods (竹林), because they can eat lots of bamboo there.

Pandas are lovely, but the number of pandas becomes smaller and smaller. People cut down lots of bamboo to build houses and they are in danger. We should try our best to give a better life to them. The Chinese government is working hard to save the pandas. Now there are more than 30 nature reserves in China to protect them but these are not enough. More nature reserves will be built in the future.
