A trip to space

I’m so happy! Tomorrow I’ll be one of the first students to travel into space（太空）. The spaceship will leave the Earth at 9 a. m. It’ll take us to the Moon. I can’t wait.

The Moon is around 380, 000 kilometers from the Earth, so it’ll take us about four days to get there. There’s no gravity（地球引力）in space, so we can float（漂浮）around in the spaceship. We’ll have to tie ourselves to our beds so that we won’t float away in our spaceship! Without gravity, our bodies may get weak, so we’ll have to do exercise every day.

When we arrive, I’m going to walk on the Moon. I’ll have to wear a spacesuit to help me breathe（呼吸）because there’s no air on the Moon. I’m going to take as many photos as I can, that is, if my camera still works up there…

“Bobby, one, two, three, get up! It is seven o’clock on February 25th, 2050. It’s time to get up and go to school,” says the clock-robot. Then the clothes-robot dresses Bobby very fast. Next the kitchen-robot gives Bobby some bread and eggs. Bobby doesn’t like them. Then the kitchen-robot takes them back and gives him a hamburger. After eating the hamburger, Bobby goes to school.

Bobby leaves home with his schoolbag. A car-robot is waiting for him. “Hello! I will drive you to school. Your name is Bobby, isn’t it?” says the car-robot. “Right,” answers Bobby. “Now would you like to show me your school ID card?” asks the car-robot. Bobby shows it his school ID card. “Come in, please,” Bobby gets in the car. Then the car-robot says, “I will check your homework. Please take it out.” Bobby does that. When they get to school, the car-robot says to Bobby, “See you, Bobby.”

What will our life be like in the future? We won’t have to change many clothes every day. We will wear a kind of special clothes. We can be warm when we feel cold and be cool when we feel hot. They will have many beautiful colors. We can change the color we like anytime. In the future, all of us will live in beautiful houses. It can move anywhere. When we want to change the place we live, it will take us quickly without any trouble.

In the future, we won’t have to go to work by bus or bike. Everyone will have a small but useful plane.We can go anywhere we like by plane. How great it will be!

In the future, maybe each family will have a robot. Our mothers won’t be busy with housework. They won’t be tired. When we feel bad, we won’t have to go to hospital to see a doctor. The teachers won’t need to go to school to work because they can teach students through World Wide Web.
