The Arts Cinema is open 7 days a week, showing lots of American and foreign films. Next week，it will show an Australian film called “Midnight Meeting”. It is set in Sydney in the 1960s. You can see that film from Monday to Thursday. It will be on twice a day at 6:30 and 9:10 in the evenings. The film lasts two hours and fifteen minutes. Tickets are $ 4, but there is a special student ticket at $2.60 for all the films. Please bring your student card if you want the cheaper ticket.

Culture

London is known for its museums. One important museum is British Museum. It is the oldest public museum in the world. There are two main art museums in London: the National Gallery and the Tate Gallery. Besides, London is also home to arts, such as theater and music. The Globe Theater, which was popular in the late 16th and 17th centuries, was opened for performances of William Shakespeare’s plays.

Tourist attractions

London has many wonderful places to visit. For example, the well-known Clock Tower, a 320-foot-high tower, was called the Big Ben. Another famous London building is Buckingham Palace. The members of royal (皇家的) family of England live there. Besides, Hyde Park is the largest open area in central London.

Did you go anywhere special on your summer vacation? I traveled to Key West, Florida with my parents this summer. 【小题1】 During the trip, we went to a museum   Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum. It was the great writer Hemingway's house. 【小题2】Everything told visitors that he had lived here.

A guide(导游) led us when we visited the museum.【小题3】The guide told us that Hemingway liked cats very much. After he left, the cats still lived here and the number of them became larger and larger.

【小题4】 My favorite one was the photo of Hemingway and marlins(马林鱼). Hemingway was a good fisherman. As we know, he wrote a great book——The Old Man and the sea. 【小题5】 I think it was hard work. It needed much patience(耐心) that was very helpful during the whole life.

All in all, during this trip, I really learned a lot and all of us had a great time.
