Today, there are many popular TV talent shows all over China.

These talent shows give everyone a chance to show their talents. For some lucky people, a lot of people may know them through these shows. However, there are also many bad sides. First, some young people just imitate (模仿) the people they admire (钦佩). They lose themselves. Second, some young people spend too much time on such TV shows. They always dream of being stars. So they don’t spend more time on their studies.

In my opinion, these shows are social (社会的) activities. Young people can get social experience by taking part in these shows. But they should know that the chance to become famous is small for most people. One minute on the stage (舞台), ten years under the stage. So they should work hard on something that is more important to them. —It is their studies.

Many TV programs are fun and educational. Here are two of my favorite programs.

Blue Peter

Because I’m a child, this is the only program that my mom allows (允许) me to watch. The program was first on in 1958. It is mainly for children from 6 to 14 and it is the longest-running children’s TV program in the world. 58.它很有趣而且我能从中学到很多. The program is for children, so it is easy for English beginner.

Frozen Planet

This documentary (纪录片) is about life in both the Arctic and Antarctic regions (南北极地区). It has seven parts. David Attenborough in it speaks clearly and slowly. 59. Quite a few English learners are interested in it. I really like the lovely animals in it.

I like watching TV and my favorite TV show is Animal World. (5)我认为它非常有趣。I can learn a lot (1) ________ animals. Elephants are big animals. Some of them are from Africa. They like to eat grass. Koalas are beautiful and cute. They are (2) ________ Australia. They like eating food at night. Tigers are the king (国王) of animals. They like to eat meat. Dolphins are a kind of clever animals. They like to sing and swim. In today’s Animal World I’ll see penguins (企鹅). Then I’ll know penguins’ life.
