Stress is a feeling you can have in your mind and in your body. It can make you want to eat less, not talk to your friends and family.
A little stress in life is normal. But controlling stress is important because if you feel stressed for too long, it can seriously affect your body. Older people who have stress for a long time can develop heart disease, high blood pressure and other serious health problems.
The good news is that it can be very easy to control stress. Here are three tips.
Tip 1: Try to eat right. Some people who feel stressed feel much better by eating chocolates, ice cream and other sweets. A little sugar isn’t bad for you but don’t stop eating fruit and vegetables.
Tip 2: Exercise regularly. People who are very busy with jobs or family life can feel tired a lot. Getting regular exercise can give you more energy and help you think about the things in your life that give you stress.
Tip 3:Most importantly, watch out for each other. Stress can make you feel alone. It’s important to pay attention to the stress in people that are close to you: friends look out for friends, and teachers look out for students.

In classes, your teachers will talk about the topics that you are studying. The information will be important for you to know when you take tests. So you must be able to take good written notes from what your teachers say.
Here are three stages (阶段) of taking notes and what you should do during each stage.
Before class
Review (复习) your notes before you come to class. This will be good for remembering what was covered. Get you ready to understand new information your teacher will provide.
During class
Keep your attention (注意力) on what your teacher is saying. Be sure to include in your notes information that your teacher repeats or writes on the blackboard. Write quickly so that you can include all the important information in your notes. Do this by writing abbreviations (缩写) such as med for medicine, using symbols such as % for percent, and writing short sentences.
After class
Rewrite your notes to make them more complete and accurate (准确的) by changing abbreviations into whole words, symbols into words, and shortened sentences into longer sentences. Use them to answer your questions. If necessary, ask your teacher for help.

Many Chinese teenagers share similar worries with the British teenagers. A recent research shows that many Chinese teenagers suffer from social life, study and emotional problems.
To solve the problems, some schools came up with the idea of happiness education. For example, Tsinghua University High School tried to meet students’ needs. It built a skating rink and different laboratories to develop their interest.
While schools take action, students themselves can do something, too. The professor Nadia Lovett from Australia believes students’ habits, hobbies and attitude toward life all play a role in their happiness.
