Noise pollution makes us talk louder and become angry more easily. Air pollution is the most serious kind of pollution. It’s bad for all the living things in the world. Cars, planes and factories all pollute our air every day. Sometimes the polluted air is so thick that it is like a quilt(被子) over the city. This kind of quilt is called smog(烟).
Many countries are making rules to fight pollution. Factories must now clean their water before it is poured away. They mustn’t blow( 吹) dirty smoke into the air. We need to do many other things. We can put waste things in the dustbin and not throw them on the ground. We should go to work by bus or with our friends in the same car.

| Gas explosion leaves 12 dead, 138 injured! BEIJING—At least 12 people were killed and 37 seriously hurt after a gas explosion(燃气爆炸) in Central China’s Hubei Province on Sunday morning on July 13, 2021. The explosion happened at a building in Shiyan city. The first floor of the building is a market and some people live on the second floor. The Chinese government has ordered all-out efforts to save the injured(伤员) after the gas explosion. 173 local firefighters have been sent to offer help. By 14:30, they have helped 150 people get out of the building. 12 of them were dead and 138 were injured, including 37 who were seriously hurt. All the injured are receiving treatment at hospital. A man who was more than 200 meters away from the explosion said that he was on his way to the building to have breakfast when he heard a huge noise. He saw glass flying out from the building. An injured person said he felt like a wave hit him in the back and pushed him forward for three meters, hurting his head and hands. A team has been set up to look into the explosion and eight people are under control. “We will sure to find out the reason and the person responsible(责任) for the explosion!” said Shi Zheng, the head of Emergency Management Department(应急管理部) in Hubei Province. |
