Russia is the largest country in the world, whose beauty makes me excited. It is very true that one can’t get the real tastes of the land’s culture 【小题1】 he visits Russia during its vacation season.

Last year, I spent a whole year in the country. Before I arrived there, I wasn’t sure 【小题2】 I could get used to the life here. 【小题3】, it turned out that I had a great time in Russia. And I saw with my 【小题8】 eyes how the place got nicer and nicer. There were flags, lights on all bridges, parks, or even houses. Between 28th February and 6th March, there was also an interesting festival, Maslenitsa. 【小题9】 is also called Pancake Festival, because for the whole week, there are pancakes everywhere. This festival celebrates the end of winter and the coming of spring. I was glad that I learned to 【小题10】 pancakes with my friends’ help. They were really delicious.

Last year, Tom travelled to Australia with his classmates. It is the 【小题1】 (large) English-speaking country in the southern part of the world. He was happy to share his experience at the time.

On the first day, they took 【小题2】 plane tour over Ayers Rock which is 3.6 kilometers long and 348 meters high. They were excited to see the rock turn dark blue, purple, yellow and red during different 【小题3】 (period) of the day. According to the local people, Ayers Rock is the centre of Aboriginal culture. Their ancient stories describe the spirits that created the world. Then Tom 【小题4】 (visit) some Australians. The Australians have a close relationship with the British, and they have many relatives. They gave Tom some Australian food, 【小题5】(include) ham, beef with lots of salad and some grapes that 【小题6】 (grow) by themselves.

On the second day, they went to a field. There were lots of sheep there. Sheep farmers were holding scissors to cut the wool off the sheep. It was also very lucky for them 【小题7】 (see) kangaroos jumping here and there. After that, they went horse riding. Tom met a lazy horse, so he was left far behind the others. On the 【小题8】 (three) day, they decided to go swimming and surfing and enjoyed the sights of the Great Barrier Reef too. 【小题9】 it was December, it was summer over there.

【小题10】 a wonderful experience! It was a bit tiring, but they all enjoyed the trip and Tom couldn't wait to visit it again.

It is hot and wet in Chongqing these days. I 【小题1】 (like) the weather here but I love the food and the scenery (风景).

This morning, it was rainy. We didn’t do 【小题2】 (something) special. My parents and I just stayed at the hotel and I felt it really 【小题3】 (boring). 【小题4】 (Luck), it stopped 【小题5】 (rain) at noon. We went to have Chongqing hotpot (火锅) 【小题6】 lunch. There is a big 【小题7】 (different) between Chongqing hotpot and Beijing hotpot. The food here is more spicy (辛辣的) but tastes much 【小题8】 (good).

After lunch, we 【小题9】 (decide) to visit Foreigner Street in Chongqing 【小题10】 the local people told us that it was a good place to visit. There are lots of old buildings and nice food from all over the world. We had Italian coffee, Indian cakes and British tea there. We really had a good time in this street.
