It was supposed to be a happy celebration of Phoebe’s birthday. Bryan already ________ his father’s truck. That day we reached Karen’s home early in the morning. We put all the things we need on to the truck.

We decided to visit the National Arts Center ________. It was on the top of a beautiful mountain. When we got there, we had so much fun. The boys even played basketball while the girls were taking photos.

After the truck turned over and over for several times, it stopped. I slowly opened my eyes and found that we were hanging beside the cliff (悬崖) and the only thing that kept us from ________ was a strong-looking tree. Ann and I were the only ones left inside the truck.

Alfred helped us ________. I saw my best friend, Honey, under the truck. Phoebe was crying on her right. Alvin who was the driver was very afraid. He could not believe what happened.

Even though the accident was so terrifying, we were all lucky to be well.

A Canadian woman and her teenage son got in the taxi and asked me to take them to Baiyun Airport. They were going back to ________. We had a nice conversation together and when they got out, they thanked me a lot.
