Helen Skelton is a famous British television reporter. She was born on 19 July 1983, in England. She has worked on the BBC program Blue Peter which is a program for 【小题1】 since 2008.

Helen is amazing. She has run an 80-mile marathon 【小题2】 the desert in Namibia. She is the 【小题3】 woman to make it after two American women. She has also travelled 【小题4】 3000 kilometers all the way down the Amazon River—the second 【小题5】 river in the world, in a small boat.

The Amazon trip was difficult. Helen travelled 【小题6】, 97 kilometers a day, six days a week. She started out from Peru on 28 January 2010 and arrived 49 days later in Brazil in February. She felt ill 【小题7】 it was so hot, both her hands hurt, and she had over 150 insect bites, but she told 【小题8】 to keep on and finished the trip.

After Helen left her boat in Brazil, we asked her 【小题9】 she was going to do when she got home to England. “Well, I’ve missed my dog Barney 【小题10】,” she answered. “so the first thing I’m going to do is to take him for a nice long walk!”
