Imagine this. You come back home from school and your robot housekeeper is already 【小题1】 (wait) for you at the door. It turns 【小题2】 the lights, air conditioner and television. While you are having dinner, it cleans the floor. Before you go to sleep, it tells you the weather report, then reads you a bedtime story. Alpha 2 can make all of these things possible – and perhaps even 【小题3】 (much). Alpha 2 was a star at the 2017 World Robot Conference.

More than 150 universities and companies from around the world 【小题4】 (bring) their robots to the event. Some robots work in factories. Some robots can explore outer space (外太空) or the deep ocean. But the highlights (亮点) of the event were service (服务) robots.

This kind of robot is more 【小题5】 (use) for common tasks. From cleaning to 【小题6】 (teach), music to sports, service robots have been used to do many kinds of jobs.

Teotronico is also a popular service robot, as well 【小题7】 an artist and music teacher. His 53 fingers allow him 【小题8】 (play) the piano. He played John Lennon’s song Imagine at the conference.

There 【小题9】 (be) another service robot called Bestic. It acts as a human arm to feed people 【小题10】 a spoon. It can be a good helper for little kids, the elderly and those who have difficulty using their hands.

Sam had always wanted to visit the International Space Station. He was really interested in the experiments that were happening there. He had read about growing food using water only. He thought that this was important as it was a way to provide food w【小题1】using land. Some of the techniques used in the Space Station had already been included in architectural plans for some super skyscrapers. So when Space Drams, a space travel company, held a competition, Sam decided to enter. The p【小题2】 was a trip to the Space Station itself!

The competition involved writing a description about how you would feel about traveling into space. Sam sat down and wrote how he thought it would fell. Buzz Aldrin, the astronaut was the judge. There were 1209.678 entries (参加的人)，so Sam thought that there was n【小题3】 way he would be a winner. The day when the competition winner was announced, Sam was expecting a phone call. When the phone rang, he answered, "HI." A voice replied. "Hello, can I speak to Sam? This is Jack Mellow of Space Dreams." Jack told Sam he was the winner. Buzz had said that Sam's writing d【小题4】exactly how he had felt on his first space trip. Sam could not believe it. Jack had already arranged with Sam's school for him to take a few days off. Sam learnt how to put on a space suit. Then he was put onto a machine and turned around. This was to help him get used to travelling at very fast speeds. He also learned how to move without gravity(重力)to k【小题6】him on the ground. That was fun. He could do summersaults and fly through the air well, walk through the air in reality. The day came for take-off. Sam felt really f【小题7】because he knew nothing about what would happen after taking off. He was with two other people and an instructor. He had to climb into a tiny capsule in the nose of a rocket. Then the rocket went quickly into space. Sam's dream came true.

This is Tammela School, a primary school in Finland. The students are having a math class with their robot teacher.

The “teacher” is 【小题1】 tiny, blue machine about 25cm high, Reuters reported. No matter when students have problems, it helps them very 【小题2】 (patient) and never gets bored.

“The robot can make students much 【小题3】 (active) in class than usual. I see Elias as one of the 【小题4】 (tool) to get different kinds of practice and activities into the classroom,” a teacher told Reuters.

In the past few years, the school 【小题5】 (introduce) four robot teachers, one of whom is a language teacher that can speak 23 languages and dance to music. "【小题6】 is important to encourage kids to connect technology 【小题7】 in school life," the head of the school 【小题8】 (add) in the interview.

The robot teachers are used 【小题9】 (help) improve learning. This doesn't mean that human teachers will lose their jobs. The robots can teach well, 【小题10】they are not able to keep class in order. The school still needs human teachers.
