One day, a man punished (惩罚) his 3-year-old daughter for wasting paper. In fact, the girl only wanted to make a beautiful box and give it to her father. “This is for you, Daddy.”

But the box was empty, so her father became angry. “Don’t you know that when you give someone a present there must be something inside?”

The little girl cried, “Oh, Daddy, it’s not empty at all. I put my kisses into the box. They’re all for you, Daddy.”

Then her father understood the mistake he made. He kissed his daughter and said “Thank you” to her.

Some years later, the girl died in an accident(事故). Her father kept the box for the rest of his life. When he was unhappy, he would take out a kiss and remember his daughter’s love.
