Last winter holiday, I visited a village with only 11 houses. T【小题1】 the village was very small, I s【小题2】a whole day in it.

The village became well-known because of Grandpa Huang's hard work. He bought a house there over 30 years ago, but in 2010 the village was to be pulled down. In o 【小题3】to save the old village, Grandpa Huang painted on the walls of his own house and other houses. He painted things that he liked. In the village, there were many paintings of animals, such as cats and birds. The most p【小题4】paintings for visitors were famous people. One of them was a picture of Andy Lau, my favourite singer. I liked him very much. It is said that Grandpa Huang painted the super singers because he is also a great fan of them.

I really had a   w【小题5】time in the village and wished to visit it again.

This summer holiday, my parents took me to have a 7-day j【小题1】.

First, we had a trip to Qingdao. We went there by car. It took us five hours to get there. It is a beautiful seaside city. After having lunch in a restaurant, we travelled around the city w【小题2】 resting for a moment. We went swimming in the sea, and climbed Laoshan Mountain. There were many c【小题3】 on the mountain. When we got to the t【小题4】 of the mountain, we were tired but we were happy. We s【小题5】 three days in Qingdao.

In the following four days, we went on a trip to Beijing. First, we visited the Summer Palace. It is a very beautiful park. We enjoyed o【小题6】 there. Then, we went to the Great Wall. There is a famous saying, “He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man.” It was hard for me to climb the Great Wall. Sometimes, I need my parents to p【小题7】 me up. F【小题8】 , I got to the top of the Great Wall. And I became very excited. The Great Wall is w【小题9】 enough for five horses to walk side by side. I even played games with my parents on it.

The total cost of the trip is about 4,000 yuan. It’s an experience that I will never f【小题10】 .

London is such a wonderful city. It is very large. The River Thames runs through the city from west 【小题1】 east. The city has two parts—the South and the North. In the North there are important buildings, shops, big parks 【小题2】 interesting places.

The weather in London is good. In winter it is not very cold. And in summer it is not very hot because the city 【小题3】 (be) near the sea. People say London is a foggy city and that it often 【小题4】 (rain). It is true.

Last year, when I 【小题5】 (visit) London, I saw one of the thickest fogs in years. You could hardly see 【小题6】 (you) hand in front of your face. Cars and buses moved along with their 【小题7】 (light) on.

When evening fell, the weather grew even 【小题8】 (bad). The fog was as thick as milk, and all the buses and cars 【小题9】 (stop). I had 【小题10】 important meeting on the other side of the town, but it was impossible to find a taxi. I had to get there on foot.
